General Information

The Global Tech & Innovation Awards recognize and celebrate technology innovation across methodologies, geographies, and scales. Whether you are an individual practitioner, an SME, or a global enterprise, if you have delivered measurable operational improvement, you belong here.

The awards are organized by AwardsFlow and evaluated by a panel of senior Tech practitioners and academics. This is not a winner-takes-all competition - Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards are available in every category based on score.

The awards are open to:

  • Individual Tech practitioners (Black Belts, Green Belts, Master Black Belts, CI managers, Agile leaders, Continuous Delivery facilitators, quality managers, process engineers, plant managers, supply chain heads, RPA developers, data analysts, DevOps consultants, and anyone delivering measurable operational improvement)
  • Teams and departments (cross-functional improvement teams, Agile project teams, DevOps groups, Cloud Operations pillar teams, quality circles, digital transformation squads, and any team driving structured Tech results)
  • Organizations of any size (manufacturers, service providers, hospitals, banks, logistics firms, retailers, tech companies, pharma, energy, utilities, government agencies, NGOs, BPOs, GBS centers, startups, SMEs, family businesses, multinationals - any sector, any geography)
  • Joint entries (organizations partnering with consulting firms, technology vendors, system integrators, academic institutions, or other companies on a shared Tech initiative)

We have 9 entry categories and 3 bestowed awards:

For full category descriptions, eligibility details, and assessment criteria, visit awardsflow.com/awards.

You can apply for as many award categories as relevant to your organization, team, or individual achievements. There is no limit on the number of applications, and each application is evaluated independently.

For example, an organization may apply for Agile Transformation Excellence for one initiative and Supply Chain Excellence for another. Similarly, an individual may apply for the Tech Practitioner of the Year, while their organization applies in a separate category.

If you have multiple strong projects within the same category, such as Agile Transformation Excellence, DevOps Excellence, or any other, you may also submit multiple applications in that category, provided each project is distinct and independently evaluated.

  • Team Members (if applicable): Names, designations, roles in the initiative

  • Supporting Documents (optional): Additional evidence, data, charts, testimonials, or case studies

Each category has a specific application template that must be used for your main submission document.

The platform supports four application types:

  • Organization: A single company applying for the award based on its own Tech initiative
  • Joint: Two or more organizations that collaborated on a shared Tech initiative (e.g., client-consultant partnerships, supplier-manufacturer collaborations)
  • Team: A cross-functional team within an organization that drove the improvement initiative
  • Individual: For categories 08 (Tech Practitioner of the Year) and 09 (Young Tech Leader Under 35)

Categories 01–07 accept Organization, Joint, and Team applications. Categories 08–09 accept Individual applications only. The allowed types are clearly shown on each award page.

Yes, all awards have specific application templates that must be used for your main submission. These templates are structured to align with the evaluation criteria and help you present your work effectively.

Templates are available for download from the application page after payment. Using the template ensures your submission covers all required areas and is easy for judges to evaluate against the scoring rubric.

Main Submission Document: PDF, DOC, or DOCX formats only Supporting Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, JPG, PNG Maximum File Size: As specified per award (typically 10-25 MB per file)

Please ensure documents are clear, well-formatted, and free of password protection. Corrupted or unreadable files may result in your application being evaluated only on the information available.

No, applications cannot be edited once submitted. Please review all information carefully before final submission.

Yes, after you complete payment, your application status is 'draft' until you submit it. You can log in at any time, add information, upload documents, and save your progress. Click the final 'Submit' button only when your application is complete and ready for evaluation. Once submitted, applications can not be edited.

Application Types

A joint application allows two or more organizations that collaborated on a shared Tech initiative to apply together. This is ideal for:

  • Client-consultant partnerships
  • Supplier-manufacturer collaborations
  • Cross-company improvement programs
  • Partnerships with technology vendors or system integrators

The primary applicant submits and pays for the application. Partner organization details (company name, contact person, role) are captured in the application form. All organizations are recognized if their applications receive an award.

A team application recognizes a cross-functional team within an organization or multiple organizations that drove a specific improvement initiative. You can add team members with their names, designations, and roles. All team members are recognized on the certificate if the application is awarded.

This is different from an organization application, which recognizes the company as a whole rather than a specific team.

No refund request will be entertained after 7 days of payment under any circumstances.

Evaluation & Judging

Applications are evaluated by a panel of senior technology innovation practitioners and academics. Each application is independently reviewed by one/multiple judges who are assigned to categories matching their expertise.

Judges evaluate submissions against five weighted criteria using a structured rubric. Scores are aggregated and normalized to determine the award tier. The Founding Advisory Council (FAC) provides governance oversight to ensure consistency and fairness across all categories.

Final award decisions are reviewed and approved by the judging panel. No final decision is based solely on automated processing.

Each application is evaluated against five criteria:

Criterion Weight Description
Technical Innovation 20% Systematic application of recognised methodologies with fidelity and discipline
Impact & Traction 30% Quantifiable outcomes - financial savings, efficiency gains, quality improvements
Scale & Ambition 20% Significance and complexity of the challenge addressed
Originality & Vision 15% Distinctive or novel approaches creatively adapted to context
Scalability & Sustainability 15% Sustained improvements with knowledge transferred and institutionalised

These criteria apply consistently across all categories, though judges contextualise their assessment based on the category and application type (e.g., individual vs. organisation).

Our judging panel consists of:

  • Senior Tech practitioners with deep domain expertise
  • Industry leaders and executives with technology innovation backgrounds
  • Academics and researchers in operations management, Agile, DevOps, and related fields
  • Members of the Founding Advisory Council/Regional Ambassador

Judges are assigned to categories matching their expertise. They are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and must declare any conflicts of interest. Judges' identities are not disclosed to applicants to ensure impartiality.

Applications are scored on a percentage-based system with four award tiers:

  • Platinum (90–100%): World-class Tech deployment with outstanding measurable impact
  • Gold (80–89%): Strong approach, well-documented results, demonstrated sustainability
  • Silver (70–79%): Good approach and measurable results with room to grow
  • Bronze (60–69%): Genuine Tech practice with documented improvement

Applications scoring below 60% do not receive an award. They will receive a Finalist.

Important: Multiple awards can be issued in each category. This is not a competition where only one winner is selected - every entry that meets the standard is recognized at the appropriate tier.

Judges' feedback may be shared with applicants. The judges may provide feedback based on their experience and understanding of the process. Under no circumstances can the applicant/nominee/organization/team members or any person challenge the result or the feedback. This policy ensures judges can provide candid, independent evaluations.

However, your award tier (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, or no award) reflects the aggregate assessment of your application across all five evaluation dimensions.

Not all applicants receive awards. Applications must meet the minimum threshold of 60% to receive a Bronze award. The award tier is determined solely by the quality and merit of each individual submission - there is no quota or limit on how many awards can be given in any category.

This means every strong application is recognised, and you are never competing against other applicants for a limited number of awards.

  • Apply as individuals for Tech Practitioner of the Year or Young Tech Leader Under 35
  • Submit joint applications with their clients for organisation-level categories (the client must be the primary applicant or a named partner)

Absolutely. Category 07 (SME Excellence) is specifically designed for organisations under 500 employees or USD 50M revenue. SMEs can also apply for any other relevant category.

We believe SMEs are the most underserved constituency in global Tech recognition. The Global Tech & Innovation Awards was designed with them in mind - with accessible pricing and categories that value impact relative to scale.
